Oldest known photograph of a tornado - NOAA Historical Photo CollectionMay 2005: Members of The Tippit Group were involved in a full scale exercise in Vail, Colorado recently. Titled "The Kaltenberg Incident", the drill was based on a building collapse with trapped citizens, Search and Rescue Teams from Colorado Task Force 1 and Utah Task Force 1 responded with their equipment and those outstanding rescue dogs. The exercise was planned to operate as a four-day real time event with response and support from all around the State.

September 2004: Peak to Peak Charter School, Lafayette, CO awarded The Tippit Group a contract to compile a Crisis Management Plan (CMP) to aid its Teachers and Staff in handling and responding to crisis situations. In addition to the basic guidebook and system, the contract calls for compiling contact numbers, resource information, mapping and GPS locations of on -campus hazards. Also, a two-day workshop on the format and use of the CRP was presented to assist the staff with an understanding of the systems use. The Tippit Group compiled a separate CD delivered a copy of the Building and hazard site to the Lafayette Fire Department to assist in the event a response becomes necessary.
